Jewellery Care

How to Look After Your Jewellery:

To keep your sterling silver and gemstone jewellery looking beautiful, follow our simple care tips below.

Everyday Care

. Put your jewellery on after perfumes, lotions and hair products.

. Remove jewellery before showering, swimming, sleeping or exercising.

. Avoid contact with chemicals such as cleaning products or chlorine.

. Keep jewellery away from direct heat and humidity when not in use.

Sterling Silver Care

Sterling silver naturally tarnishes over time- this is normal.

To keep it bright:

. Wipe jewellery regularly with a soft polishing cloth (included with every order).

. Store pieces in an airtight pouch or jewellery box to reduce tarnish.

. If tarnish appears, gently buff the piece with your polishing cloth to restore shine.

Gemstones & Crystals

Many gemstones are delicate and should be handles with care.

. Avoid soaking gemstone jewellery in water.

. Clean with a soft, dry cloth only.

. Keep away from harsh chemicals and direct sunlight, which can affect colour and clarity.

Elastic & Beaded Bracelets

To prolong the life of your stretch bracelets:

. Roll them gently over your hand- avoid pulling or yanking.

. Keep away from water and steam (bathrooms, saunas etc).

. Store flat to prevent overstretching.

Pearls

Pearls are natural and require gentle care.

. Wipe with a soft cloth after wearing to remove skin oils.

. Store separately to prevent scratches.

. Avoid water, perfume and chemical cleaners.

Cleaning Tips

For most pieces: Use your Peggy & Pearl polishing cloth.

. Avoid liquid cleaners (not suitable for all gemstones).

. Never use abrasive cloths or brushes.
